Just Mixing Stuffs

Hi, we meet again.

I know right, it's a new record. I'm actually making 2 posts in a year ! Talk about improvement.

So, in this post, I would like to show you what I've done in the last 2 days. Just like in the previous post, I will mix and match some outfit that I think would make a marvelous look.

So, let's begin.

First, I would like to showcase looks with the theme just like before, bringing winter to Bali. So, if you look at below, I have this amazing soft-pink cardigan sweater which is perfect for rainy season. Maybe some of you will think, "Okay this sweater is soft-colored so I can mixing it with color-blocking outfit" Well, that is wrong because that will make the look too puzzled and lose its elegant feel. Today's trend is mixing outfit with different texture and that's what I'm thinking here. So, this sweater is a knitwear. How about pairing it with an amazeball pink sequence skirt ? Don't you agree that it will make the look become more sophisticated without abandoning its flare ? I do. But I will suggest that the skirt should be towards pencil skirt rather than flowy one because flowy skirt are just too overwhelming and will crash with the personality of the sweater. And now the shoes. I actually think that flat shoes or high heels are appropriate for this look. But just too give it more punk look, I choose this cool all white sneakers which is unorthodox and pretty out the box. So how is it ?

Next, I was thinking about something more modern and I believe this look will give you just that. Remember about the different texture trend ? That trend will still be implied here. Winter tops don't have to always be knitwear. Like this over the top sweater with metallic beading which oozes sophistication. And to pair it, how about white sort of plastic skirt which is out of this world ? I mean what could be more modern than those two outfits combine ? For the shoes, that white sneakers in the first look can actually work here but I'm thinking of something more fun and edgy like this bright pinky red ankle boots. For me, this look like combination of Versace and Prada, don't you think ?

Now, I'm going to show you choices of look that you can wear for outdoor garden party in this chilly weather. When you are in a garden party, is it just me or you also think that you need to wear a pow-wow outfit that is bright and cheerful ? As you can see below, I choose this outfits that may seem ordinary but as usual, I give it an extra something which will give it that Carrie Bradshaw moment. So I was thinking about this plain black cocktail dress that is quite boring but is appropriate for the weather. Since it has no arms, what could be more perfect than pairing it the color-blocking H&M jacket. The printed jacket is very in today and the color can't be more stunning. What's left ? an amazing shoes. I pick this simple platform high heels, but wait, it has evening blue glitter on it which is marvelous and works perfectly with the festal jacket. So, if you want attention, this dress will give you just that, and probably more.

 

Other option that is also as wonderful as the above is a show-stopping two piece outfits. Maybe I was a little restraint in the first two looks that I've showed but my leash has gone and here it goes.  It's not a garden party if nobody tries to wear a garden-like outfit and this top with printed blue flowers are perfect because the structure and the finished are so define that doesn't make it cheap, as many floral outfit might be. Next move, I was thinking about simple trouser to complement it but that would be too boring, right ? So, I choose this black and pink striped semi-shear pencil skirt which give a nice curvy figure and make the whole look structured. The two outfit are so colorful. If you give it a boring colored shoes, it will bring the whole look down. So, when this drama occurs, choose the shoes with the similar color and feeling with the top. The sexy purple-blue heels are just right. Don't you agree ?

If you want to go to a party which is not located in a garden, let's just say birthday party or premiere of a show, then how about velvet ? Velvet may seem heavy, but it works perfectly in chilly weather and if you accessorize it right, it has a mind blowing effect. As you can see below, the velvet dress is very beautiful and already a major piece of the look so you don't have to do much to finish the look, all you need to pay attention is in term of accessorizing. If you're a jewelry girl, maybe you should step back a bit for this one. This dress is already so luxurious, if you add jewelry, which is so luxurious, it will make the look becomes fuzzy. What I recommend is a sexy bright heels, or as I've chosen, a sluty glittery pink platform heels are just a work of art. Is it enough ? No. Every girl need a right handbag, how about trying this eight-shaped very bright blue purse ? I mean the combination of black, blue, and pink ( or magenta ) couldn't be more perfect, I could just faint. 

FYI, do you know the new 411 ? bright striped sequence tops are quite booming now, or I'm just in love with them. So, to my homage of what I hope will be the new trend, I'm going to show you with 2 looks containing that type of top.

First, don't you just love this dark blue top ? I mean the sequence almost scream at you, in a good way. Do you know Alladin, or Jasmine ? The pants that they wore are starting to crawl in the fashion market and it works seamlessly with the glitz on the top. Talk about fashion-gasm. But what this look needs is a long and lean body of the woman who wears it. So this high, I don't know how many inches, heels is perfect with its black accent making the look very sexy and sensual. If you want to seduce your man without really showing that you are, this look is perfect, because it makes you shinier, leaner, and sultrier.

I also love this red sequence, talk about bombshell. It has some sort of Christmas feel to it which is perfect, because Santa Claus is coming to town soon. In the first sequence look, I already pair the top with pants, so I was thinking for this one, maybe shorts can give the mutual sensual feeling. Red and blue mesh perfectly, as far as I'm concerned. So, this Chinese looking floral blue short is just what this look needs because it's as showstopping as the top but not to the point where it overshadows the glorious sequence. And as my thought earlier, when every clothes in the look is already festal, then the shoes should be in the same soul as the top. Since the top is red, maybe you will immediately look for red flat shoes or heels. But, the color red on top is not really bright, the sequence makes it bright. The short also have dark blue color. If you wear red shoes, that would probably make the shoes as the attention piece of the look because red is pretty striking. If that's what you want, fine. But I'm thinking more of a muddy colored shoes, in this case ankle boots as below, because it has the same feeling as the top but also coherent harmoniously if you look the look as a big picture. 

Okay, about this next look, I'm not 100% sure. I was trying to mix and match a look with orange skirt. That is hard you know. If it was a yellow skirt, it probably would be easier because yellow can work with many color like blue, red, etc. Orange ? I mean that color is very bright. So, i cramped my head and finally have a conclusion that white is one of the best color to combine with orange. And for the shoes ? I think this is the right look to put your dazzling ballerina flat shoes.

Another trend that probably is already disappear is crop top. But I damn love it, so how about this one ? This crop top that I found on Topshop is, oh my God, very hard to combined with many skirts/pants so that makes it not versatile. You know why ? Because they designed it with a matching skirt, so they don't really think about other possibilities for the gorgeous top. So, I find this almost maxi black skirt which, thanks god, works perfectly with the whimsical top. Maybe this look seems too gloomy, but wait. It gives you opportunity to play around with many shiny heels as you can see below. If you want to be mysterious but sexy at as same time, this look is ready for you.

Last but not least, I have this look prepared which I've been playing around with. Remember when I said about using clothes with different texture ? Opposite to that, how about incorporating a type of fabric / texture into the whole outfit. For example leather. Leather is sexy, but not many women is brave enough to pull it off. I'm not saying that you should wear leather head to toe, that will make you just like Catwoman, won't it ? So I was thinking, how about choosing clothes to make a look, which all of the clothes ( head to toe ) have a leathery element. Like this look. The top is casual fabric, but on the arms and bottom, it has some sort of leather. The pant is all leather, tight and structuring the limbs very well. And to garnish it, a fierce black pumps with golden chain, which work perfectly with the red. Do you see ? The whole look screams leather but actually, you can add different fabric as well.

Okay, I guess we reach the end of the post, I'm pretty tired of searching for these looks. But at least now I can sleep very well because I've finished it. Not just that, I've just made an amazing post and while doing that, I've discovered my true passion.

Trying to Safe This Blog from Its Death

Hi...

That's the first thing that pops into my head since I haven't blogged for more than a year, so I guess  I need to start this post with an appropriate greeting.

First, I would like to come clean about the reason I stopped blogging for that periode of time. So here it goes. I don’t know what to write about. That may sounds weird since it says in my previous post that i like fashion and I’m trying to make my blog as the epidemy of fashion. But I just sort lost my passion. It probably sounds like a cliche but in that 1 year, I have fallen in love twice, and with the drama that comes along, I couldn’t think clearly. I couldn’t differentiate what’s real and what’s not, so fashion didn’t really have a place in my hectic mind. 

I used to have this, let just say ‘friend’, who i could get to anywhere i want. Like, we could go to many different places in a day, we've done a lot of things, and we actually hung out every single day for 3 weeks. Afterwards, our relationship just suddenly gone and thanks to my strength, i could just let it go and move on. But then i just got bored all the time. How can I not ? Alone doing nothing at home after spending a great holiday with the love of my life who walked away with no apparent reason. 

Since I’m sort of lost in the process of my fake relationship, i don’t really know how to get back to the old me. I wish someone gave me an intervention before i ruined my life. But nonetheless, I try to get back to the way i was. Stupidly, I did every wrong thing possible that i thought could get me there. I started to be more social, neglect my studies, going out frequently, trying foreign things like beer and cocktail. 

Oh yeah, just as an intermezzo, I’ve tried this cocktail in Sushi Tei, Long Island Ice Tea, and i regret it, a lot.

Continue to the problem. All that stuffs that at first i thought was significant for me, actually that was just a distraction and distraction are good for a second but I need to confront my problem and not hiding them. So I start thinking, and when I do, pictures appears in head and after puzzling it together, it hits me. I loved fashion. No, I love it and how come a person that is actually a complete garbage can make my love for such a majestic thing disappear. Fortunately, after this thought , I come to realization. I am a loner. My hobby is watching TV all day and doing nothing,  probably going to bathroom 6-7 times a day and that’s it. I’m proud of me.  I’m 100% percent a fashion lover and I may don’t have all the expensive stuffs like Chanel or Hugo Boss but I understand fashion and sometimes I feel like fashion chooses me. If you bring me along when you need to buy clothes like dress, then all you need to do is relax and enjoy the ride because I’m a damn great stylist. I speak fashion. I know what dress should be paired with what accessories and what shirt complements a unique chinos.  So now, after i got through the tornado that supposedly ruining my high school life, I’m back and I’m back with a bang.

Just as a starter , I’m just going to mix and match some outfit and see if it’s OK.

So, since it’s sort of chilly here in Bali, I would like to bring winter style here, although there actually no winter in Bali.

I only going to pitch 2 looks, cause I’m going to discuss it further in my next post.

So for this first look, some of you may have a dress which is too opened to wear in this chilly weather. I’m thinking that you can pair it with a cute knitwear. Like this Zara dress, it’s very chic but too open on the top. So, since the main piece of this dress is the skirt, which is to die for, you can pair it with something without making it lose it wow factor. So, I choose this fun conservative-pink knitwear from Topshop that can keep up with the glorious skirt. Don’t you think that the sweater actually make the dress look some much better ? well, I do. And to tie up the whole thing, I think this Zara ankle boot is appropriate. Since the look is pretty festal on the top, I think the shoes should be simple but still edgy. So, how do you think about this look ?

For the second look, I think that baggy sweater may not be well accepted to everyone. So, this petite Topshop knitwear is everything a girl needs, and many girls will suit it since it color is very neutral but still fun. To pair the knitwear, I’m thinking of a luxurious looking Topshop skirt with a little shear fabric which makes it quite mysterious, long enough to complement the small sweater but not long enough until it touches the ankle and seems like a maxi skirt. And finally the shoes, I know my choice seems awkward because usually people avoid wearing a one-colored look but I think turquoise platform heel from Topshop is what this outfit needs, don’t you agree ?
