This quote by Natalie Hormilla, Editor, at Fashionista.com really inspired me to dig further of the fashion industry. For me, by starting this blog, is my first little step to get the hang of fashion. Since i can remember, i always love everything about fashion. From the simplest design of clothes until the high-end brands like Chanel, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, and even the French Haute Couture. I love to feel mesmerized when i see the runway girls come out and work the outfit with what their mother gave ya ! My environment isn't the most fashionable place in the world. Actually, I'm really struggling even to figure out what's in and what's out in the fashion world because frankly, the style that I often see in my neighborhood never become the "ins" part of fashion, if you know what I'm talking about.
The thing that still help me to get to know the fashion industry is FTV ( Fashion TV ) and my holy bible, the one and only, THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK. FTV for me is my ultimate channel on TV. Thanks god my aunt subscribes for the TV cable. I can't even think what my life would be if I stuck on the original channel on TV, that would be a pity !
If someone ask me, what's inspired me so much about fashion, it's the little things that sometimes people doesn't realize. It's the way model moves in the fashion ad campaign photo shoot. It's the way the body flows and the hand swings in the runway show. It's the driven of the fashion editor to get what's fashion now and of course the way designer captivate people by their weird, quirky, and personal design. It's the way fashion people make their unique idea of everything come alive. It's even the reason why people buy fashion, despite if it's expensive at it finest. What pushes someone to think, "Okay, this is the one for me." All of the curiosity of fashion makes me interested , even the part that i can't understand at all !
One day, I went shopping with my family. When my mom shopped at a weird shop, I went to PERIPLUS, the bookstore of the international book. I immediately saw this kind of book that revitalize my vision of the fashion industry. THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK : An insider's guide to Careers in Fashion.
I took that book, went to the cashier, paid it, and went home ! Even the cover makes me Fashion-Orgasm! I rapidly think that Fashion is the only thing that i love and i will try my hardest to just being recognized in the fashion industry.
Now, i already have the clear vision of what part of fashion i want to take part in and it's the fashion editor . Maybe for vogue if it's possible. I will try everything that i need to do. Get an internship in some magazine, study English literature, or maybe just figure out what fashion really is.
Like i said earlier, this blog is the first step that i can do in the fashion industry. I hope I can continue this blog as often as i could and I could make all of you guys just as inspired as me in the Fashion World.
